On October 24th, Palm Beach Central High School’s student group Together Against Genocide (TAG) will hold its Fifth Annual Evening for Darfur.

The event will include a presentation by renowned human rights activist and Enough Project Co-Founder John Prendergast and Sister Schools Program Manager Olabukunola Williams, an annual candle-lighting memorial service for the victims of genocides past and present, and a sale of award-winning student photographs. Musical entertainment will be provided by Pure Justice and students will be selling concessions, refreshments, t-shirts, and bracelets.

The money raised from the event and TAG’s preceding week of Genocide Awareness will contribute to the Sister Schools Program. Since March, TAG has raised more than $10,000 to support their Darfuri Sister School, Aboutalib B in Goz Amer refugee camp, and hopes to soon reach their the goal of $57,500.
